International Admissions

International students are foreign non-resident students who require an F-1, J-1 or other non-immigrant visa to study in the United States. To learn more about how to become a Cal State Fullerton student, you can visit the area of the International Admissions website that best applies to you.

First-Time Freshman

For those who have never earned university-level credits and can satisfy CSUF’s English-language requirements

Master/Graduate Student

For those who have completed, or are about to complete, their degree and can satisfy CSUF’s English-language requirements

Transfer from inside the US

Who are attending a college in the United States and have completed at least 60 transferable units (or 90 quarter units)

Transfer from outside the US

For those attending a college outside the United States and have completed at least 60 transferable units (approximately two years)

Domestic Student with International Transcripts

For those who have completed some high school or college course work outside the United States or studied abroad, and do not require a F-1 or J-1 student visa.

English language requirement

Regardless of citizenship, all applicants whose native language is not English must submit proof of English proficiency. For undergraduate and graduate requirements, see below.
